Seeds of Fortune Inc. received the Rebuilding Communities Fund from One Young World and the Brandtech Group at the 2022 Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. The Rebuilding Communities Fund was designed to direct funds to the young leaders best positioned to tackle the issues facing young people who are disproportionately experiencing these issues.
The Funds were used to support Seeds of Fortune Inc. national Fall College Prep Programming. Since receiving the funds Seeds of Fortune Inc. has been able to support its strategic programs to help 300+ students through career, financial, and leadership activities.
This includes In August 2022: The Seeds of Fortune Inc. Scholars Program in Partnership w/ Yale Women in Economics which supported 30 young women to participate in an intensive college preparatory process. Students learned economics in their junior year of high school and presented a Capstone project on Yale University's Campus.
In September 22: Seeds of Fortune Inc. Nationwide College Prep Summit which focused in the southeast region on the US to recruit and teach women financial literacy, college and scholarship access in key cities across the country including Atlanta: 9/13-9/14 and Miami: 9/16.
Students participated in an Online College Meet and Greet in October 2022 with our College Partners who meet 80-100% of financial need for college.
