Seeds of Fortune & Luster Products Join Forces to Grow Entrepreneurship Program to Empower Young Women of Color
New York, New York (Date) - Seeds of Fortune, a nonprofit organization dedicated to financially empowering young women of color and helping them secure scholarships for college, in partnership with Luster Products, Inc., has announced an impactful partnership in Seeds of Fortune's entrepreneurship program: Girls Startup. The program is designed to support young women of color as they embark on their journey towards entrepreneurship and achieving economic independence by having the students study the 60 years of business operations of Lusters Products, Inc. and the Pink Lotion Brand.

The entrepreneurship program began in June 2023 and ran for 6 weeks with Reginald Maynor the Director of the International Division. This transformative initiative will bring together a cohort of 100 ambitious and talented young women and provide them with the essential knowledge, skills, and resources needed to turn their business ideas into reality. Participants were a part of an empowering environment that nurtures their dreams and aspirations. These young women will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on workshops, mentorship sessions, and networking opportunities with successful female entrepreneurs.
This initiative comes at a crucial time as many young women of color face a myriad of challenges in starting, maintaining, and growing their businesses. Through this joint effort, both organizations will address the racial and gender disparities that exist by creating pathways to success for the next generation of leaders. By partnering with Luster Products, Seeds of Fortune aims to set an example for other organizations and businesses to follow, creating a ripple effect that uplifts the lives of countless women of color.
