We are a non profit organization that seeks to financially empower young women of color by helping them make better financial decisions starting with college. We help them to apply to college scholarships, teach financial literacy, and professional development skills.

Seeds of Fortune Inc. has formed a partnership with the Yale University Economic department seeking mentors for our 2022 HS student economic capstone projects.

 

Mentors play a critical role in advising and working with our Seed Scholars to complete their capstone projects to present to the Yale University community and beyond.

 

Mentors are committed to working virtually with student participants. Mentors will be provided one group to work with that consists of six student participants to complete their group projects. 

  • Mentors will help students evaluate group capstone project ideas

  • Explain economic or worldview Concepts 

  • Presentation Creation and Format

  • Learn how to work and communicate in groups 

  • Review Capstone Group Project Topics - HERE

Mentors are provided a $1000 Stipend for their participation awarded upon successful completion of student Capstone projects. Must be Yale University Students to apply. 

Yale's Women in Economics (WiE) organization is collaborating with Seeds of Fortune Inc. for mentor applications. We welcome Yale students from all majors and backgrounds to apply with this application:
