12-Days of College Scholarships for High School Students to apply for by Christmas

1. Car Covers $1,000 Scholarship | Deadline 12/15/2022

What Is Included: A $1,000 Scholarship Award.

Who Can Apply: Open to any student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at any accredited American college, university or trade school.

What To Submit: An essay on the topic, "How To Make Your Car Last Forever?"

2. Creative Safety Supply Scholarship | Deadline 12/15/2022

What Is Included: A one-time $1,000 scholarship awarded directly to the student's chosen college, university, or vocational school.

Who Can Apply: Open to any United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and is enrolled in a college, university, or vocational school for the upcoming term.

What To Submit:

A. Download and fill out a copy of the application, available in Microsoft Word and PDF formats.

B. An unofficial copy of your transcript or school record showing your GPA.

C. Essay answers to the following questions in either .doc or .pdf format:

i. What career path have you chosen? What made you choose this path? (300-500 words)

ii. How have you used creative thinking/problem-solving to help you accomplish your academic or personal goals? (500-750 words)

3. National Sojourners Essay Contest | Deadline 15, 2022

What Is Included: Scholarship award amount up to $2,000.

Who Can Apply: Open to students in 9th through 12th grade.

What To Submit: Personal Essay based on the provided essay prompt. Must be submitted through a local sponsoring chapter.

Who To Contact: Click on your state (or a nearby state if there are no chapters in yours) to find a chapter and contact information for potential sponsorship of the essay. Applicants should go to https://nationalsojourners.org/chapters.


4. Equitable Excellence Scholarship | Deadline 12/16/2022

Who Can Apply: Current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year, A United States citizen or legal resident living or claiming residency in one of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico, Willing to provide a release to publicize your identities and information about your achievements along with photographs for use in Program promotion/information.

What Is Included: The authorized distribution for new awards is up to $750,000. Up to 100 renewable awards of $5,000 each and up to 100 one-time awards of $2,500 each will be granted as follows:

  • Top 100 applicants – $5,000 awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance and continued enrollment

  • Next 100 applicants – $2,500 one-time awards are not renewable.

  • $500 grant will be awarded to each recipient’s high school to be used for professional development activities.
