Meet Seeds of Fortune's newest 'Positive Influencer', Juliana (Juju) Wong, M.Ed. [she/her] AKA @ProfessorJuuj! Juju is a bicoastal edupreneur (educator + entrepreneur) & higher education consultant based in San Francisco and New York City. She was born and raised in the Bay Area, received a B.A. in Communications at UC San Diego, and completed her M.Ed. in Student Affairs & Higher Education at the University of Maryland, College Park.

With 10+ years in college access and success work, Juju centers the social identities and emotions of BIPOC, first-generation students throughout the college process. From workshops to social media content, she makes college knowledge & resources more accessible to young people in fun and creative ways!

Juju is also a diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging (DEIB) strategist that integrates her ethnic studies and equity lens to build programs and organizations. From curriculum design to organizational development, her ultimate goal is to create culturally-responsive & equitable educational and career pipelines for diverse communities to feel valued and empowered in their professional pathways.

Honors and Accomplishments

  • AAMPLIFY: Director of College Opportunity

    • Juju currently serves as the Director of College Opportunity of AAMPLIFY, an educational non-profit that empowers underserved Asian American youth to build leadership and advocacy skills to solve social justice issues in their communities. She owns the end-to-end vision & strategy of college access and post-secondary programming for over 200 Bay Area high school students.

  • Institute for Recruitment of Teachers (IRT): Alumna Q&A

    • Juju was highlighted in the Institute for Recruitment of Teachers (IRT)’s annual report for her insight on how to address educational equity by empowering BIPOC, first-generation college students to own the value of their identities and knowledge from their communities.

  • Asian Pacific American Network (APAN): APIDA Spotlight Series

    • Juju discusses how her values, goals, and aspirations for social justice in higher education are rooted in her intersecting identities as an Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) daughter of working-class immigrants.
