Blood Sisters

Statement of Purpose:

The purpose of my company, Blood Sisters, is to allow these 3rd world communities to finally accept periods as a natural feminine concept and to once in for all receive the proper tools to deal with their menstruation correctly and efficiently. The services I would provide is sending workers who will educate communities about the menstruation system and how it is a bodily function for reproduction and should not be considered as a disgrace. The products we will obviously supply is sanitary products with guidelines and instructions by the workers. We meet the needs of women all over the world who do not have the tools, education, and resources to deal with their menstruation, but we are also providing jobs for them. We want to provide women in 3rd world countries a better alternative to live so they need sustainable and abundance of products to last as long as they need it.

Creating the product

Resources:

Since this project is both a service and commercial, we need to be backed up by many organizations to allow our voices to be heard. Many donations and sponsors will be needed to create a factory based on the location(s) and for the materials. In the BBC news, there is a man named Arunachalam Muruganantham who created a cheap, revolutionary sanitary pad, made from very inexpensive materials. Cellulose from tree bark was what sanitary products were made up of. Muruganantham created this low-cost method for producing sanitary products and a simple machine to assemble the products. By using this method and genius machinery, we can create factories all over 3rd world countries. We will provide them with jobs, so they can support themselves and buy these products cheaply for they will be resourced regionally. This will allow their economy to rise and to become more hygienic. We will also employ a group of women who will go around villages to spread knowledge about periods and how to properly take care of themselves instead of being ashamed and receiving infections from being unhygienic. This will allow for more consumption of products and for knowledge to be spread around so people can be safe and stay safe instead of dirty. But for all this to occur, sponsorships and donations need to happen to set forth this path. Hopefully, to have someone like Dr. Jennifer Riria would be super beneficial since herself tries to create a better life for Kenyan women.
